"Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant's vehicle met with an accident at around 5:30 am," Chief General of Uttarakhand Police, Ashok Kumar told media.
"The episode occurred at Mohammedpur Jat close to Roorkee. As per what Pant said, he napped off while driving and the vehicle crashed into the divider and burst into flames. He was moved to the Roorkee emergency clinic from where he has now been moved to Dehradun," he added.
According to reports, Pant has lacerative injuries on his brow and left eye, a tendon tear in his knee, and scraped spots on his back. There are no copies on his body and a X-beam has displayed there's no crack by the same token.
The degree of his physical issue isn't yet known and it still up in the air after additional sweeps have been led. He was purportedly driving home from Delhi to give his family an unexpected encounter with plans to enjoy the New Year with them.
The 25-year-old was as of late engaged with India's Bangladesh visit where they dominated a two-game Test series 2-0.
According to police, Pant saved his life by breaking the window of his Mercedes and leaping out of it.
Following the Bangladesh visit, he was excluded from India's T20I crew for the Sri Lanka series at home. All things being equal, he was approached to report at the Public Cricket Foundation in Bengaluru for strength and molding in anticipation of a four-Test series against Australia scheduled to be held in February one year from now.
The 25-year-old has addressed India in 33 Tests, 30 ODIs and 66 T20Is up until this point.
